Muttmaila
A melodious narrative delving into nostalgia. It's about the unburdened and free childhood. It's also a commentary on how sanitary our lives have become and maybe it's necessary looking at the sorry state of our environment.
"Mutthmaila" (muddy) is an ode to our carefree, uninhibited and fearless childhood. The time when we played with mud and leaves and were outdoors hunting for shells, stones, coins and mirrors. I wrote and illustrated this project. This narrative has also been published in The Indian Quarterly 8th Anniversary Special Issue (July-Dec 2020) with English translation called "Mud-Messy". The theme for the issue was "Touch". It was featured on other platforms as well like Scroll.in, The Hardcopy, Designyatra etc.
